I wrote once about Rush Limbaugh and how he's sort of like that scene in American Gangster where Denzel Washington's character is doing just fine and dandy with his covert cocaine business, and then he lets his ego get the best of him and attends a major boxing event in the front row wearing a giant, expensive fur coat, and then the corrupt NY cops notice him, figure out what he's about, and start the shakedowns and harassment that spiral into his downfall.
In other words, the man was a corrupt, evil person but everything was going well for him until he made the world notice he was a professional scumbag. And so I thought of all that while I thought of the largest breast cancer awareness organization in the United States.
After this wild ride of a week for the Komen Foundation, which spent most of it totally and utterly lying that it didn't try to defund Planned Parenthood for political reasons, capped off by the right-wing hack they hired to try to defund Planned Parenthood for political reasons resigning, specifically stating she is quitting over failing to try to defund Planned Parenthood for political reasons, it's hard to imagine that, somehow, the good guys actually won. So that's what it feels like.
