"What Could Have Been"
If Barack Obama even did a fraction of the crazy stuff right-wingers pretend he does the country would be so much of a better place. Does that mean I actually want the president- or any president- to have a secret army that does his bidding? Of course not. But I'd sure as hell settle for even a percentage of that perceived authority. Somewhere between employing an effective bully pulpit and having a covert legion of actual bullies there is a happy medium. I like to call it "we could have had a public option, you ass."
My thoughts on the debt ceiling "Eat Your Peas in Our Time" deal can be summed up in this word cloud of what everyone else thought about it. America was a great experiment. It really was.
