The original impetus for this strip was the trial balloon that Democrats floated about extending all of the Bush tax cuts, which would have pretty much ruined both the country and any chance I'd vote for Democrats ever again. I remarked how to end the cuts, all Democrats have to do is... nothing. They just go away automatically. And they somehow found a way to possibly mess up doing nothing.

Republicans, on the other hand, seem to excel at doing nothing. In fact, the only time they get into real trouble is when they actually try to do something. And then they ruin everything. Okay, you can see how I could have made this strip go on for twenty panels. Words is fun.

Chances are high this is the last strip for two weeks, due to the "real life happens" principle. If you see little to nothing here until after next Monday, rest assured nothing exploded. I would blog about that.
